Valentines Crayon Hearts

A very easy Valentine's Day Craft to do with your kids are Valentines Crayon Hearts. You can use new crayons or just find broken ones from your child's crayon collection. You can make them in any combination of colors that you desire. And the best part? They can be given as gifts or used as part of you Valentines home decor.

You will need:

  1. Crayons (any will work but the best quality ones are better since they contain more wax).
  2. Silicone Heart Candy Mold (I got mine at the dollar store and left it to be used exclusively for crafts).

How to make them:

  1. Unwrap the crayons (Put them in a cookie tray for easy clean up).
  2. Fill the silicone heart cavities with the color combinations you choose to make. Overfill it because the crayons will melt down.
  3. Place the mold in a cookie tray and bake it for about 10-15 minutes in 200F or until the crayons have completely melted.
  4. Remove the tray from the oven and let it completely cool down before removing the hearts from the mold. They should come out very easily.
